Story of the Bison
The bison going along one day found a rabbit in the bush. This was the largest bison that had come to roam this land and for the rabbit, one would remark on her special smallness that became long when she dashed through the grass. The large bison paused and offered his flank to the rabbit where she could stow away warmly and safely. So they could roam the fields and valleys of their great plain together. The rabbit plodded over to a rock and from there she leaped upon the bison, finding a comfortable spot in the crook of his hip. And from there she watched the sun sink beneath the towering peak of a mountain while the bison stopped here and there for the grass that he gave his name to.
