About
I view vocation as that action which aids the community. My vocation came early and naturally to me in Kindergarten. I made a painting after Van Gogh’s Sunflowers as assignment for art class and mine was selected to hang in the local Starbucks. My mom took me to see it, my painting was hung high on the wall so I had to stand on a chair to have my picture taken with it. As I stood up there, I saw the tables full of people reading their books or working on their laptops and I realized that my painting was for these cafe-going, coffee-drinkers. And as I’ve grown and been witness to the world, its been confirmed the importance of art, so I make my work from my own innate need and that of the world’s.
